Philadelphia Archdiocese Auxiliary Bishop Most Reverend Keith Chylinski came to Sacred Heart Parish in Royersford this weekend and was welcomed by Pastor, Rev. Tadeusz Gorka.
Bishop Chylinski announced that Archbishop Nelson Pérez has assigned him to Montgomery County as his new parish.
Bishop Chylinski is now on a mission to visit the more than forty parishes in the County this year. His visit to Sacred Heart included celebrating the Holy Sactifice of the Mass.
During his homily, Bishop Chylinski spoke about our need to learn how to let God love us and how He wants to be part of our lives every day. He also mentioned how many people, especially young people, do not go to church anymore and, as a result, are missing out on God's gifts. He explained that the church has rules because "they are the very thing that facilitate love."
He also addressed the recent Pastoral Letter sent by Archbishop Pérez about the need to get all Church membership more involved in growing our Parishes and making them more vibrant, by helping to bring people back to Church. Following Mass, the Bishop was hosted at a luncheon in the Church’s Fellowship Café.
