Lamentations

The Lamentations come in three parts:

First Part: sung on the 1st and 4th Sunday of Lent.  

Second Part: sung on the 2nd and 5th Sunday of Lent.                              

Third Part: sung on the 3rd Sunday of Lent and Palm Sunday.

For each part the prayer sequence is as follows:

• Introductory Hymn: the same for all Sundays
• Intentions: to be read by lector at Mass; not included in the documents
• Hymn: Part 1 or 2 or 3
• The Soul's Lament: Part 1 or 2 or 3
• All Hail, O Jesus: the same for all Sundays
• Mary's Dialogue with the Soul: Part 1 or 2 or 3
• Through Your Wounds: the same for all Sundays
